A great holiday is incomplete without great food to compliment it. All the food we serve is home grown and sourced locally from our in house farms – it is organic, fresh and healthy. The unpolished pulses and the vegetables are all cooked with herbs and spices that are grown in our herb garden. Therefore our menus are highly customised and provide only those items that are locally available.
We have multiple dining venues within the resort, ranging indoor dining to outdoor alfresco terrace.
The alfresco terrace open air deck at the retreat is popular for its authentic hospitality and wide range of mouth-watering local and International delicacies. Guests can also choose to enjoy a special baradari dinner or a candle dinner around the Mughal fountains with their loved ones.

Turning to the sun for power: We are conscious of power scarcity and are constantly seeking ways to reduce our burden on the grid. Solar power accounts for up to 75% of our energy needs at Umaid Lake Palace, Kalakho (Dausa) and supports almost all operations, barring a few. We are committed to attaining 100% self-reliance in energy in the near future.
We have also come to realize that working with the earth is a two way project. We need to give back as much, perhaps more, than we take from her to keep things in balance and working well.
Organic Farming, In House Dairy & Poultry
At Umaid Lake Palace most of the food is prepared from vegetables grown locally in house using traditional methods with organic fertilizers and with minimum use of water. We have installed energy saving bulbs in the rooms & common areas. For bonfire we use Julie Flora which is planted on the fences throughout the property. In this way no trees need to be cut for fuel.
