"Unclean, unsafe and unhealthy."
Overall Score1.0/ 5
I did not complain to the motel clerk because he was not the manager. There is little he could have done to rectify the situation, but there is much that I can do in letting people who travel know about the apparent lack of corporate concern regarding the lack of even basic standards of cleanliness and repair at their hotels. One of our party's rooms was in such deplorable condition they elected to leave and attempt to find someplace to stay that was over 100 miles from the destination. I do not need the lap of luxury, but I do insist upon the lap of cleanliness and facility repair. Sincere apologies do little to assuage the inconvenience of travelers who merely wanted a clean room to sleep in for the night in a comfortable bed. The room carried the stench of stale cigarette smoke and the beds were innerspring with light fabric covering, no padding. The fact that there were seemed to be people soliciting from room to room did little for the comfort of the young teens in our room. Such was the situation that none of the teens were without at least two adults accompanying them outside the rooms. What I can also do is inform the BBB of your lack of concern for customers' health and well being at your hotels. I can guarantee that the 15 members of our church group will never stay in a Motel 6 again and word of mouth from 15 people can and will directly interact with some 20 or more each in friends, family and associates. Yes, bad news travels fast and far. Tom Burdett will not be leaving the light on for me ever again. I would recommend that your corporation get its act together and make necessary upgrades to this location, not for my comfort, but for any who may still remain customers.
