The front desk staff was nice and helpful, but the elevator floor was dirty. Room was small and very basic looking. Things were not well maintained. My assistants had to move from their first room because the smell was horrible. The second room that was given to them had hair on the sheets. I have never been so embarrassed as I booked the rooms for many people and they could not believe the condition of this La Quinta. I will not stay again.

"Not a Great Stay."

I was working out of town which prompted my stay at the hotel. The following concerns were noted: 1. Pet hairs on top of the comforter. I requested new linen and to change the bed. It felt like I was being bitten constantly while lying on/in bed throughout the first night's stay. 2. The room air was wet and muggy despite decreasing the air conditioning temperature. It also had a "wet dog" smell to the room. 3. There was a visible layer of thick dust that bordered the edge of the carpet and base boards around the room 4. A dog brought into the dining area during breakfast. I also didn't ask for another room, as I was given another assignment, therefore having to leave early unexpectedly. It would have been too cumbersome to pack up and move to another room for one more night. FYI: two of my co-workers that traveled with me had the same complaint of pet hairs on their linen, a wet muggy room that had an animal smell to it and feeling of being bitten while in bed. If there was some way to separate guests coming with animals or reserve rooms for guests without animals would help for future guests.

Brand New Hotel opening July 2006. Pillowtop mattresses and all the amenities you come to expect from the La Quinta Inn & Suites family. Located off I-12 on the Northshore of New Orleans, we're close enough for a night out on the town or a strole down historic streets of Covington and Mandeville.
