If this hotel wasn't so close to Myrtle Beach speedway, there was no way we would go back and I'm sure there's no way they would get any business. When we first got there, we went to check in (My other friends and I both got rooms at the hotel for the weekend) and the hotel was fully booked because of the event going on. I checked in no problem. When my friends went to check in, somehow their reservation was not in the system. The receptionist was extremely rude and told my friend it wasn't her problem and her only solution was to go stay at their sister hotel and pay twice the amount they were charging, when they had already paid $50 to hold a room. The receptionist refused to allow us to speak with her manager, so we ended up calling corporate. Magically, they were then able to give them a room. When we finally get upstairs, as soon as I go to put my key in the door, a huge cockroach scurries up the wall right outside the room. The room we booked was supposed to have a microwave, mini fridge and a flat screen TV according to their website. We had a microwave that did not work, NO fridge and an ancient box TV without a working remote. There were cigarette burn holes in the bed's comforter, the beds were rock hard and the pillows were tiny and uncomfortable. The carpet was sticky and the bathtub was so gross, I wouldn't let my son sit in it to take a bath. Next time we will pay more and drive further to get to the track.
