The refrigerator in our room did not work very well, called for maintenance, never showed up till the next day?. I observed five different fighting events on property the first day we checked in. Requested towels, house keeping never showed up to provide us with towels?. Two very intoxicated offensive people cursing at the pool/bar fighting and cursing in front of children. Later to be told the intoxicated person was the bartenders room mate?. Security was called on the intoxicated guys, nothing was done to appease the event. After security showed up he was allowed to drink more at the pool bar when he should of been escorted off property. Big chance the hotel took, being liable for any damages occurred. The pull out couch bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable with a big dip in the middle of the mattress only to have a backache the next day, I had to visit Publix to get medicated gel. House keeping on the second day never cleaned the room. Etc..

Dear Paul, We appreciate your time in sharing your experience at the hotel. We regret that one of our engineers did not repair or replace the refrigerator immediately. The Memorial Day Weekend is always very busy and based on the public beach access that loops through the resort, there have been some non-guests that pass through and have been unruly on occasion and perhaps this is what occurred in this instance. Our housekeeping team does strive to provide attentive and prompt service, so we apologize that you did not experience this on your visit. We will investigate the comments in regard to the bartender, but would not expect over serving as we have very stringent standards at the resort with frequent checks and cameras in place. Again we sincerely appreciate your feedback and will take steps to address the issues you mentioned.

Good location near the beach, otherwise very tired old hotel with outside doors and very small rooms in desperate need of TLC. I would never book again as it was an embarrassment.

Property Description

International Palms Resort & Conference Center is situated on 16 acres with magnificent Atlantic Ocean views. Our full service hotel offers 500 guestrooms which include Ocean View Suites & Rooms, Ocean Villa rooms which include a complete kitchenette and our Loft style room are two levels and ideal for parties of 6 people. We also have Cabana Suites, Kid Suites and standard guestrooms. Our Olympic size pool is the perfect play to area to cool off under the warm Floirda sunshine and our Pirate Ship water feature is a great place to entertain children. We have 4 dining options while you are our guest. These include our poolside Splash Bar, Commander's Club, Captain's Grill serving a daily breakfast buffet and our oceanfront dining Mambos Bar & Grill. Our hotel offers over 13,000 square feet of meeting space for your next event or reception. We also have a variety of outdoor options for a dinner, team building exercise or wedding. Kennedy Space Center is 17 miles from the hotel and Port Canaveral is 5 minutes.

What you need to know

Hotel Features: The extravagant International Palms Resort is only a short walk to the beach and its many scenic wonders and activities. In fact, the resort offers surfboard and boogie board rentals for guests who are aiming to venture to the seaside. There are four restaurants available for guests to choose from for their culinary pleasures. Mambo's Beachside Bar & Grill is set on the beach and serves Caribbean fare. Splash is located by the pool and offers a lunch-style menu of salads, sandwiches, and cocktails. The Commander's Club is a bar and lounge with happy hour and nightly entertainment. The Captain's Grill is a casual American restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Guest Rooms: Guest room accommodations are all luxurious. They include oceanfront suites, deluxe tower rooms, poolside cabanas, villas, and standard guest rooms. Each guest room has deluxe bedding, complimentary amenities, air conditioning with individual climate control, and cable television.

Nearby Attractions: This resort is near the Cocoa Beach Pier, a beautiful way to take in immaculate sights because it stretches 800 feet into the ocean. The F.I.T. Botanical Garden is also just a short drive away.

Amenities : There's a large sports center for guests that includes a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, a shuffleboard court, a tennis court, and a fitness center.
