We recently took a bus load of people for a Christmas in the city experience and stayed at the Affinia. The hotel was very nice, staff was very friendly, and the rooms were pretty big for NYC rooms. The hotel also had a nice restaurant and bar. Overall, excellent experience.

During my eight day stay at the hotel I stayed in three rooms. All of the rooms had air conditioners that were in serious need of cleaning, the vents and filters were filthy. At one point we asked for maintenance to come and change the filter, they did but the air conditioner was still dirty. The worker took a dry rag and tried to wipe off the dirt which only helped to spread the dust. I being a COPD sufferer went into crisis from all the dust and mould. The last room we were in was somewhat better but we took it on our selves to clean the two A/C's ourselves. We literally washed the filter and cleaned them with wet soapy wash cloths. Hotel is in an excellent location if you want to be close to the sights but the cleaning staff need to go a little bit further than vacuuming the rugs and changing the beds. The hotel is on a busy city street, the carbon monoxide is coming up from the streets. Please clean your A/C units at least once a week.

1.We are conveniently located across from Penn Station which is the major hub of transportation. (cost savings) 2.Our guest rooms are oversized studios with gallery kitchens, Aveda products in the guest room, and a three- choice pillow menu. There are safes in room and high speed internet is available. Rooms are approx 400 square feet. 3.Our lobby was just recently renovated. 4. Our ballroom was renovated.5.Ballroom has no pillars and you will be guaranteed the ballroom for the food functions in addition to the General Session. 6.You will be one of the only groups in house over your requested dates that we can offer making it a more intimate meeting experience. 7.Our Catering department will customize the menus to fit the needs of your attendees as we discussed. 8.We have a fitness center on site, business center and Niles, the restaurant on site is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 9.Our Metro Concierge will assist the group with planning group dinners, events, and can even print your boarding passes for your train going back home.
