Property Description

The Gleneagles® Hotel is a magnificent 'French chateau' set amid gently rolling hills in the heart of Scotland. Established in 1924, the hotel was soon acclaimed 'the palace in the glens' and continues to attract those in search of rest, relaxation and exhilaration. Suites There are 232 rooms in the hotel, including 26 sumptuous luxury suites. Each room is individual in design and layout, with the amenities and thoughtful touches expected of a five red star resort. Guests can choose a traditional or modern approach to interior design. Dining Hospitality is the heart of the Gleneagles experience. Four restaurants set the highest culinary standards, including Scotland's only two Michelin stars in Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles. Elegant bars and public spaces encourage intimate conversation and quiet contemplation. Activities Outdoors, Gleneagles makes the most of its 850 acres. Three championship golf courses are among the very best in the world; The King's, The Queen's and The PGA Centenary, host venue for the Ryder Cup 2014. Other outdoor leisure pursuits include shooting, fishing, falconry, off-road driving and horse riding, as well as swimming in The Club's two indoor pools. The Spa For those who prefer to cocoon themselves away, The Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA, is a sparkling experience of treatments and healing waters, as well as ESPA Life, an innovative residential programme encompassing complementary and alternative medicine practices, lifestyle treatments and personal training. Corporate Events The right venue is, of course, hugely important. But so is the right organisation. Here at Gleneagles, we have a dedicated corporate events team with long experience in arranging everything from the G8 conference of world leaders, to international product launches and intimate weddings. Right now, we're already working on the Ryder Cup 2014, making sure everything is in place for what will be one of the major global events of the sporting calendar. Our expertise covers all the major considerations, such as venue selection, AV, catering and accommodation, to all of those little touches that make an event so memorable. Things like fresh flowers in corporate colours, themed room dressing and commemorative photography. Our chauffeur fleet of executive cars and people carriers makes airport transfers a breeze - with the capacity to co-ordinate the transport of large groups in perfect comfort. We can create special flourishes such as afternoon tea on arrival or a relaxing hand massage while your group checks-in; the perfect way to unwind after your journey here.

Breakfast Information

Breakfast is included in all bedroom rates. Our traditional Scottish breakfast is an array of the very best of Scotland’s seasonal larder and heritage, Scotch pancakes, stone baked breads, Aberdeen butteries, organic bread toasted and served with Tweedside honey, Scottish strawberry and raspberry jams, Marrbury smoked salmon from Dumfries or a more traditionally smoked salmon, smoked by George Campbell and his sons. As part of Gleneagles support of Perthshire Big Tree Country, you can enjoy a glass of Cairn O Mohr Apple Juice with breakfast. This delicious juice is produced from a traditional variety of apple harvested in orchards at nearby Carse of Gowrie that have been saved and restored by the project, which aims to conserve and protect Perthshire’s heritage trees. Or choose locally reared pork and beef sausages with Ayrshire cured bacons, free range eggs from Highsmithston Farm, smoked haddock from Arbroath and the very best selection of seasonal Scottish soft fruits.
