The Oberoi, LombokParadise FoundThe Oberoi, Lombok situated on the northwest coast on Medana Beach, lies opposite the three Gili islands. This 24-acre resort is comprised of 20 free standing Villas (most with private swimming pool) and spacious garden courtyards with raised dining pavilions. There are also 30 spacious Pavilions. The large Pavilions measure 90m3 and include an 18m3-shaded terrace. The central reception area overlooks a 40 meter arced swimming pool flanked by shimmering decorative pools visually bringing views of the blue ocean water to the edge of the lobby. The Spa features traditional therapeutic treatments based upon Asian modalities and Ayurveda. The PADI qualified Dive Centre provides non motorised water sports and guided diving expeditions. Magnificent colorful sunsets face the neighboring island of Bali with unparalleled views of Bali's Gunung Agung Volcano on the horizon. The Oberoi, Lombok's environment fosters tranquil days leading to total relaxation and rejuvenation, all the while being spoiled in the comfort of proficient service. Although geographically close to the island of Bali, Lombok is years behind in development. The island is a magnificent destination for the travelers seeking undiscovered culture and nature.

Green Sustainability

The Tri Hita Karana tourism award has been endorsed by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) since 2004, while the principles of Tri Hita Karana — harmonious relationships between humans and God (parhyangan), with other human beings (pawongan), and with the environment (palemahan) — have been introduced in the 2009 law No. 10 on tourism. In 2010, the tourism award was promoted as part of the implementation of Bali province’s Green and Clean program. The prestigious awards recognize elements of the community who conduct their businesses and organizations in keeping with the Balinese cultural manifesto of Tri Hita Karana which demands balance be unfailingly maintained between Man and Man, Man and Nature, and Man and God.Based on its three principles, the Tri Hita Karana award does not solely measure a hotel’s green initiatives, but prioritizes the hotel’s harmonious engagement with the local communities surrounding its compound, as well as the hotel’s efforts toward showing respect for the Hindu Balinese spiritual relationship with God. Various levels of awards are given. The highest Emerald and Platinum Awards are s given to those who have earned a Gold Award for three or more consecutive years. Gold awards recognizing high achievement and lesser Silver and Bronze Awards also form part of the range of awards given following a rigorous review and evaluation process.
