"Wonderful Concept, Could Use Some Fine Tuning"
Overall Score3.0/ 5
We stayed for approximately a month. Once checked in to your unit, you are pretty well on your own and that suited us fine, as we were out for most of the day and basically used our unit for eating breakfast, supper and sleeping. It is very convenient to have a stove top and full size fridge/freezer, drawers and cupboard space. It would have been useful to have another small table or flat surface, as it was crowded to have a spot for the computer as well as eating space. However, that is an inconvenience that is tolerable, but perhaps could be improved. The staff is very helpful, competent and friendly. We found the place quiet and felt safe at all times, although there was some disturbance that caused the fire alarm to go off late one night, early in our stay. Interestingly, it went off at exactly the same time the following night, certainly an annoyance, but it seems it had something to do with the alarm not being properly set following the first incident. It did not happen again. We did see a few insects (cockroaches?), not an infestation, but certainly they were present hopefully that is something that will be remedied, as, overall, this is a location we would like to use again and really do like the concept of being able to do without some of the "services" you might expect to find on a more regular basis at most hotels, in exchange for a workable kitchen and a reasonable price. If it were not for the insects and the accompanying idea that perhaps cleanliness could be improved, I would give this place/concept a "very good" rating for our purposes, it is a great idea!
