Here is a collective of all our guest comments including senior family, young professional adults and children. We checked out as satisfied guests. The hotel was booked to the max for the Memorial three day weekend. To be accurate, our stay was good. The breakfast was hot, to the point they ran out of breakfast, but replenished the hot breakfast in good time. Their bar is a full service and the happy hour is great service provided by Tratorria. We ordered a lot of food and drinks sitting poolside. Also reliable free Wi-Fi. The pool was nice, on both the shallow children pirate ship side and the courtyard pool. An older family member fell in the breakfast area and Clarion hotel staff tended to her fall and made sure she was comfortable and okay while the EMT cared for her. The sleeping rooms are comparable to the $150 night hotels in the area. All rooms have the same newer furniture, flat panel HDTV, refrigerator and microwave setup. Recently renovated including new bedding, carpet and counter tops as well. The only thing they could possibly do to improve the hotel would be paint the doors, upgrade the A/C unit and some maintenance on the bathroom (3 of our rooms had a slow draining tub and two others had a stale air condition smell). Again, this has occurred at higher priced hotels as well. They should consider installing a few elevators. Clarion should finish their renovations on the far side of the building. All of our group rooms were pool view so that was great. If the other building is renovated this would be a better property. It didn't affect our stay, because we were in the main building. We understand they are currently renovating the other building, but it's not appealing. In summary, if we stayed here again, I would expect Clarion to have completed the renovation and install elevators. However for this stay experience, Clarion has earned a 4 out of 5.

"I Would Not Use This Hotel Again."

A few guests had roaches in their rooms. We were also told when I signed contract that there was a bar that would be open in the evenings however upon check-in time, were told they do not have a liquor license. That was not the biggest deal but wish I had known that prior so I could have had supplies for my guests. Almost all of my guests were overcharged on their room.

"Poor Room, Great Service"

For lack of a better way to describe it, the room "felt" dirty. We had to be moved to another room because of a constantly running toilet and inoperative telephone. The hotel desk clerk was polite and helpful in accommodating our needs.

Staff was very friendly, room was ok however, all the things seemed newer in the room. Shower was good, bed comfortable, pillows were ok. The breakfast was very good and the pool area was very nice. Did not originally know all the rooms were accessed from the outside. Careful with the key cards as we had to have both of ours reactivated after an evening out. Apparently they cannot be around any other credit cards or cell phones. They could use more help in the evening. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for our cards to be reactivated as there was only one person at the desk and two people in line in front of us and the phone was constantly ringing. However, he managed it with grace and was very pleasant.
