Also, please realize Myrtle Beach does charge an additional tax. This accommodations tax is not included in the price quoted. I was charged $11.00 extra dollars upon arrival. When I offered to pay that in cash, I was informed by the desk clerk I would then be charged a $50.00 deposit for not putting the $11.00 on my card. So, of course, I charged the $11.00 on my card instead of being charged a $50.00 deposit. I found all of this very irritating. It puts a damper on the trip right from the beginning. I should have left and drove down the boulevard. There were lots of motels available at a cheaper rate. But, we stayed because we were tired. The room was very clean and pretty. We were on the 16th floor and put in the middle of the second building. The two sides of the building front jutted out so we could not see down the shoreline. Yes, perfect oceanfront view, so we did not ask to be moved. Also my fault here for not asking, we were in a room with two full beds. I was never asked if we preferred a king or a queen, so for the first time in years, my husband and I slept in a full size bed, which was okay. But just remember to ask because I did not. They wanted way too much for their breakfast buffet, so we went to the local Shoney's for half price. But, all in all, trip was nice. We just wanted to go to car show as we go every year. Have fun!
