"Smoke smell everywhere, questionable characters, price discrepancy, not good service"
Overall Score2.0/ 5
We arrived in the parking lot and the first thing I noticed was three people in the parking lot talking about getting what they need(drugs). So my husband went up to the front desk, and I stayed in the car with the kids. The guy at the desk said he had the reservation we made online for two days, but that the total was $70 something. When I found out I was surprised and said I thought the total was already paid and it was $101.00. It turns out that it had been paid already in full when I made the reservation with an online service. Apparently the hotel got $70, and the online service got $30. At any rate, I was disappointed that I got a $35 room when I thought I was getting a $50 room, but there are no refunds after you check in, and so we moved in all our stuff. The first thing I noticed was that the whole place reeked of cigarette smoke and there were people walking in and out of the non smoking hallways with cigarettes going. We got into the small room with two double beds and there was a light bulb out and the door on the bedside table did not open and shut properly and was unusable. We had stated that there was 2 adults and two children staying with us yet there was only two bath towels. I was going to ask the front desk for extras but he was walking outside white as a ghost with his shirt hanging out. The police showed up there at least twice while we were there, and my husband said there was a forensic team there in the morning. No one came to clean our room after the first night, and the garbage I set out in the hallway never got picked up. There were cigarette burns on the blankets and the pillows were all flat. I went to the store and bought two towels and a pillow to try to make myself more comfortable. Oh, yeah, the TV turned on by itself at like midnight both nights, and there was a fire alarm going off the second night after a fight had broke out in the hallway. I wish I was making this up people. This was an absolute nightmare, and it practically ruined our trip because I tried to tell my husband I wanted to leave after seeing the place, but he refused, so that set a bad vibe for the rest of the stay. At the end of the trip I was so fed up I told my husband I wanted a divorce because he was insensitive about the whole thing. The continental breakfast was ok and consisted of coffee, milk, cereal, and those little frosted donuts, and mini muffins that you get at the grocery store with 6 month expirations on them.
