"I will never stay at a Baymont again!"
Overall Score2.0/ 5
This was a group reservation, which I set up several months ago. The room was decent. There were good amenities such as the microwave and mini fridge. There is too much drawer space for those staying multiple days. The bed was comfortable and the cleanliness of the wood was average. I arrived at 1:30 pm, but check in was at 4pm. The dismissive attitude of the front desk clerk was upsetting. "Can you just come back at check in?" I explained to the young lady that I had to be at a conference meeting at 4 pm and needed to place my belongings in my room. She never offered to hold my bag, or present any other options such as a standard or double room. On another occasion, I called down because my room was freezing cold. Instead of coming to check the thermostat, the front desk proceeded to tell me what to do. When that didn't work, she tells, " you made need to reset it." What!?! Now I'm frustrated. It's not my job to reset The Baymont's thermostat. She then tells me, "if that doesn't work, call the front desk back." I called back ten minutes later and she informed me she will come take a look. She came up and did absolutely nothing! After doing exactly what I did for 15 minutes before she came up, she says "I'm completely baffled." She then goes on to tell me she will give extra blankets. This place allows guest to bring their dogs. No information was provided about this. Dogs barking late at night, not to mention if I did have an allergen to dogs, I would have no knowledge if there was a dog in the room I was given. I wanted to like this place, but they seem to have only unknowledgeable people working here. Next time I will spend the extra money and stay across the way at La Quinta or down the way at the Hampton. This place was not worth the money I saved!
