My daughters' softball teams blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn Covington for a tournament that was played nearby. The rate was outstanding, the rooms were clean and well appointed. The girls and their parents loved unwinding in the pool and fire pit areas. Check in was fast and easy. I'd like to point out that front desk clerk, Rachel was outstanding at welcoming us and getting a lot of people checked in in a short amount of time. She was truly great. I have but one negative comment and that is that the restaurant should have been better staffed. We came down for breakfast at 8:00am and there was essentially no food or anywhere to sit as many of the tables had not yet been cleared. The kitchen ran out of milk as well so we were unable to even eat a box of cereal. The staff working were doing their best to keep up, but it seemed as though they could have used a little extra help. All in all, it was a very good experience. I would stay at this hotel again.
