We stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown Fort Myers while in the area for a basketball tournament. The hotel was located close to all of the venues; the longest drive we had was approximately 20 minutes. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included and it was hot, fresh, and tasty. They did run out of few items prior to the 10:00 am cutoff and did not replenish them, but there were other items on the buffet to eat. The group sales rep, Dayna, was pleasant and accommodating. We had a few last minute changes and she was able to help us with those. My only gripe would be the pool closing at 9:00pm. We were there for two nights and the boys really wanted to swim after the games but by the time we returned to the hotel, the pool was closed. The young girl (very understanding and pleasant) at the front desk did explain that there were a few rooms located next to the pool and it closed early because of noise concerns. I understood, but that was still an issue. There are also public basketball courts across the street from the hotel and those came in very handy during our downtimes. Overall, I think we would definitely stay again.

Property Description

Holiday Inn Downtown Historic District. We have been newly renovated October 2006. Our guest rooms have been completely renovated with brand new furniture, upgraded bed package and lush Egyption Cotton bath towels. Some of our room feature a flat screen T.V., microfridge, and a private access floor. We are located walking distance to the City of Palms Park "Home of the Boston Red Sox Spring Training", and just a few blocks from the downtown river district. Come and enjoy your favorite beverage by the pool or dine in our full service restaurant, "Char" a family style brazilian steakhouse. Our Holiday Inn has all of your business needs, with a 24 hour business center equipped with 2 computers with internet, printer and facsimile. Our meeting room, which overlooks our tropical pool, accomodates up to 50 people and is a perfect place for small weddings, or to conduct your annual business meeting. We have an on site fitness room with state of the art exercise equipment and on site guest laundry facilities. We are a pet-friendly hotel**********************************We look forward to your arrival.....Relax....Its's Holiday Inn.
