Property Description
As the name suggests The Old Rectory Restaurant with Rooms was formerly a Rectory. Dating back to 1754 the Georgian Main House is now Grade II listed. The Old Coach House once a Victorian stable building is joined to the main house by a conservatory but has its own separate entrance. The red brick facade of the Main House is enhanced with virginia creeper and the terrace steps lead on to mature landscape gardens. On cold winter afternoons guests can relax in the Drawing room and enjoy afternoon tea beside an open log fire. In summer you can take a dip in the outdoor pool unheated lounge on the pool terrace or just relax in the airy conservatory. Eight spacious bedrooms are spread between the Main House and the Old Coach House. The five bedrooms in the Main House one with balcony are spacious with high ceilings and Georgian sash windows and overlook the garden and / or pool. En-suite bathrooms range from a large shower room to a generous bathroom with corner bath and separate shower. The three bedrooms in the Old Coach House have a cosy homely feel with sloping beams and ceilings. All guest rooms are individually designed with free Wi-Fi flat screen SMART TV complimentary mineral water a selection of reading books hospitality tray hairdryer bathrobes and quality environment skin friendly toiletries. Free car parking is available on site. Beds are made up with feather pillows and feather and down duvets in fine cotton bed linen. Non-feather bedding is available on request. One of Norwich s top restaurants the elegant candlelit 16 seat Dining Room serving a three course 2 AA Rosette menu with choice of dishes is usually open evenings Tuesday - Saturday inclusive - advance reservations are essential. Service starts at 7pm with last orders around 8.30pm. Please let us know prior to arrival of any food allergies or special dietary requirements.
