The heavier set man on the front desk had his nose in a book every time I walked through the lobby and would grunt a hello as an afterthought. In the evening of Saturday 5/23, the day I arrived, I ordered room service and thought I could charge it to my room (found out I couldn't because I booked online so hotel had no cc on file). I received a call from front desk insisting I immediately come to front desk to give them a cc for my meal. My dinner had already been delivered and I was eating and so I told them no. The lady told me they would come to my room and get the food if I didn't immediately come to the front desk with cc. I offered to give them the cc number over the phone but that was unacceptable. (I could hear a man's voice in the background telling the lady to say the things she was saying to me.) I told her one of them could come to my room and see the card but I was not coming down right then because I was eating. A few minutes later, the man that delivered my food called me and asked for the cc number over the phone, so I gave it to him and he thanked me (I had already signed for the food when he delivered it thinking it would be put on my bill). No follow up from front desk with an apology for rudeness. Terrible customer service. I'm in the resort industry and this was a very big no-no. It's a shame just one or two people on the front desk that are not customer service oriented can spoil it for those that do a good job. My overall feeling for the stay was not a good one. Get rid of the heavier set guy because he is definitely not an asset to your hotel. He probably was the voice behind the lady that called me; don't know because I had my jammies on and went to bed to read and try to forget my fish and chips ordeal!
