I've always been treated excellent by the lobby desk. Always greated with a smile.I'm aware of the fact the family has sold this location but still receive a family welcome. Highly recommend this hotel. And, it's still fur baby friendly.

When I first arrived on the 1st the front desk staff were terribly rude and uninterested in helping. The room was dirty and the bed rolled around everytime I moved. The housecleaning staff was very friendly and listened to my concerns but it was not up to standard.

When I arrived for my stay I requested a ground level access as my disabled mother was with me and she can not do stairs. The lady at the front desk told me well your room is on the second floor but there is ground access. I had to go looking for the ground access to get her in.I had to unload my mother and her walker on a hill then walk her down a long hallway to get to our room. The room was nice and cozy but the building was old and a little creepy. Then at about 8:50 pm the power went out. I'm sure it was no fault of the hotel. However no one checked on us at all and I'm pretty sure we were the only ones in this building. We were there because I was having surgery in the morning. neither one of us slept very well and I had to take a cold pre op shower in the dark. Thank God I had a flash light. When we left I had to walk my mother back down that long hallway in the pitch black.I have called regarding a refund and have not gotten a call back. Very uncaring.

Bare Bones room with no guest information in the room, no TV channel guide. the beds were very comfortable and the maid in the hallway was very polite and considerate, bringing us an extra pillow when we requested it.

OK, but quite run down, needs a bit of work. The cigar lounge above the lobby is not a good idea for a non smoker. Soon as I walked into the lobby I was upset and almost ready to "checkout" before I "checked in" with the smell of cigars.
