Ogden is a city in Weber County, Utah, United States. Ogden serves as the county seat of Weber County. The population was 82,865 according to 2008 Census Bureau estimates. The city served as a major railway hub through much of its history, and still handles a great deal of freight rail traffic which makes it a convenient location for manufacturing and commerce. Ogden is also known for its many historic buildings, close proximity to the Wasatch Mountains, and as the home of Weber State University.
Ogden is a principal city of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Weber, Morgan, and Davis counties. A 2008 estimate by the U.S Census Bureau placed the Metro population at 531,488.

Lagoon is an amusement park in Farmington, Utah, United States located about seventeen miles (27 km) north of Salt Lake City. It is privately owned. It has eight roller coasters, three of which are unique; one of these being Colossus the Fire Dragon, which is the only Schwarzkopf Double Looping coaster still in operation (Laser at Dorney Park closed at the end of the 2008 season), and is the longest existing model. Another is The Bat, a Vekoma junior suspended coaster that opened in 2005. The third is the park's newest, largest and fastest coaster, Wicked (2007). It was designed by Lagoon's engineering department in cooperation with Zierer, a ride manufacturer.
Lagoon is divided into five main areas: The Midway, containing the majority of the rides and an assortment of carnival type games and food outlets; Pioneer Village which has several exhibits displaying pioneer buildings and artifacts; Lagoon-A-Beach, a water park which is included in the regular admission price; Kiddie Land with several rides for small children, and the X-Venture Zone featuring more extreme rides that cost extra. Lagoon also offers a full-service RV park, a campground, and a shaded walking trail outside the park that stays open all year.

The Ellen Eccles Theatre was built in 1923 on Logan, Utah's Main Street. Then known as the Capitol Theatre, it was a home originally to vaudeville and opera. As vaudeville died out, it became used primarily for community events, and increasingly, movies. By the 1980's, the Capitol had fallen into disrepair and become a run-down home for second-run movies.
In 1988, it seemed likely that the Capitol would be demolished and turned into a parking lot. Popular outcry, however, led to the city of Logan purchasing the theatre and a not-for-profit organization was formed to renovate and operate it, now known as the Cache Valley Center for the Arts. This restoration effort hit a setback in 1990, when fire destroyed much of the theater's annex. However, work continued, and the house, christened the Ellen Eccles Theatre after the family member of one of the principal philanthropists, opened to a gala performance on January 8, 1993.
The theatre, which seats approximately 1100, is used for concerts, community theatre and ballet performances, and classic movies as well as being a popular stop for many national touring act each year. It is the venue for performances of the Utah Festival Opera Company for 4 weeks in the summer, and dozens of performances during the rest of the year by the Cache Valley Civic Ballet, Cache Regional Theatre, Music Theatre West, Valley Dance Ensemble, and several Utah State University performing groups.

Beaver Mountain located near the summit of Logan Canyon, in the Bear River Mountains of northern Utah. While smaller and less developed than a number of Utah ski resorts, Beaver Mountain is very popular with residents of nearby Logan and surrounding Cache Valley. "The Beav" (as it is affectionately known by locals) is characterized by a laid-back, casual atmosphere. Beaver Mountain is also the best priced ski resort in Utah.
The slopes of the mountain are predominantly east-facing, which provides a pleasant morning skiing experience. However, this same eastern exposure receives somewhat less snow than those facing west. Since Beaver Mountain does not currently employ snow-making equipment, the area is entirely dependent upon the (usually) ample natural snow, and therefore often opens several weeks later than most other resorts in Utah.
