I have stayed at this hotel a few times and was initially impressed by the cleanliness of the room and friendliness of the staff. On my last visit, I took the stairs from the 4th floor to the first and was disgusted at the grime and dust that was on the stairs, the landings, and in the corners. My first thought was that, if the areas where most people do not go aren't clean, what is being overlooked in the room? Although I have been to Rock Hill a number of times since, I have not stayed at this hotel again. « less

I had a very nice room on no notice. I actually checked in and immediately out of the Holiday Inn because the Holiday Inn did not meet my requirements for medical needs for a King room. Nor would they upgrade a Priority Club Platinum member. On the fly, this Wyndham and its staff was able to meet my medical requirements. The property has maintenance problems like poor/dim or totally out outside light fixtures. In addition, a door lock that needs three (3) or more key card passes to gain access from the side entrance.
The room was good. The bed and living areas should be reversed. The bed in right up close to the wall with the window facing I-77 and the truck traffic noise is very, VERY, bad. Had the couch and table been put where the bed was located and the bed put where the couch and table had been put it might have been a much better sleep and overall stay.
I do recommend this location over the Holiday Inn in the area and I AM a Holiday Inn Priority Club PLATINIUM member. The Holiday Inn IS NOT recommended and there was, for me, a much better price (over $25 a night lower) at the Wyndham over the Holiday Inn.
Also, the wireless internet access is very slow between 7PM and 11PM. Very, VERY slow.

Charlotte Douglas Airport is about 25 minutes away. We do have a shuttle but we do require 72 hours notice and there is a $35 fee. A taxi is about $70.
