The Fiesta American is awesome, the staff are very helpful, the restaurants are amazing. We stayed in April but unfortunately we got a ground level room so we had no view whatsoever. The area around the hotel is awful all the buildings are falling apart, I would like to stay there again but the area around the hotel ruined everything, I will stick to Cabo San Lucas, but as far as the hotel is concerned it is great and very expensive. « less

Overall we had a wonderful time at FAGC. My husband, 4-year-old daughter and I stayed there a full week, April 8-15. There are mostly pluses, and a few minuses to this property. The best parts of the hotel: - Rooms are large, clean, comfortable and have updated decor - The views of the ocean are amazing - Pools are large and beautiful - lots of plants and trees surround it giving it a lush feel - For the most part, service is very good - Value - the price we paid per night was more than reasonable - Location is great - The spa is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
The downsides to the hotel: - The daily housekeeping service was not very good - with a 4 year old, we would occasionally have snacks in the room and although we'd clean up after ourselves I would notice later that there'd be some residue from a drinking cup, etc. on the table. That residue was on the table all week long - not once did the housekeepers clean the tables off. Had we had access to cleaning supplies we would have done it ourselves. Also, the housekeepers would often not come until later in the day (like between 2pm and 4pm) - well that's right when our daughter takes a nap during the day and some days we didn't get cleaning service until dinner time. - We had lunch one day at Isla Contoy, which is next to the beach. It's a lovely restaurant, but our service was soooooo slow. There were not many people dining, and there seemed to be plenty of people working there (all of whom appeared busy), but regardless it took one hour to get our food! - As other reviewers have noted, unless we went to the pool early in the day, it was impossible to find a lounge chair. We would normally have been just as happy lounging at the beach, BUT it's very, very windy down there and the sand whips up and pummels you. That is both annoying and painful at times. It also turned one of my drinks into a sandy mess :( They should really add more lounge chairs to the pool area - there's room for more, so why not? - The food/restaurant prices are ridiculous expensive. We knew this going into it, but still. I think the hotel would be better off charging reasonable prices because people would order more and also have a better experience. We often went outside the hotel for dinner, which was not just less expensive but fun too.
With the resort being rated "5 stars" I felt it was okay pointing out the issues above. Had the resort been rated 3 or 4 stars, I might not have complained about these things. « less

Everything about this resort was perfect. Service, room cleanliness, beachfront, atmosphere, and an excellent breakfast buffet. Because of its location the ocean tends to be more calm than the ocean fronts along other parts of the Hotel Zone. We would only stay here again during future visits to Cancun. « less
