We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for the Derby and could not have been more pleased! Already plan to submit my request for next year this week. Location cannot be beat - less than 2 miles from the track, attentive staff, clean/spacious rooms! The Derby treats for turndown service were a nice touch! The front desk staff was great -- Carol took care of us all weekend! We had 3 girls which meant a lot of stuff and we had plenty of room! Would recommend for anyone! Thanks Courtyard team! « less

If you want a great place to stay near the airport and good location for bowling and other fun things (Expo and Six Flags), this is a great hotel! Very clean, great atmosphere to socialize with friends, and the hotel staff aim high to please. Great hospitality. Note: Housekeeping is EXTREMELY good! So much that you should make sure you put away in food items you want to save for later. If not, when they clean--they just may throw out! :-) Great experience! Front desk staff was amazing – very helpful and professional. They quickly fixed any issues that came up. Except for one: When we checked in we were told that the key machine was broken so they could only give us 1 master key to our room. Two people in our group had no key and had to be let in by staff each time they entered their room. We stayed 3 days and still they had not corrected the issue. However the staff handled it the best they could.
Shuttle service and staff were great. They took us to the Convention Center, local restaurants and the airport, no charge.
There is a small bar in the hotel, which doesn’t open until 5 pm even though the hotel was filled due to the show. Would have been nice to be open earlier. Prices were reasonable and the drinks were good.
Breakfast was not included in the room price. Cost was $10.95 for the breakfast buffet. Each day was the same: scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuit’s, gravy. Oatmeal, and other continental items. It wasn’t worth the $10.95.
Hotel was in good condition and clean. I would stay again, mostly due to the great staff, it made a difference. « less
