We visited here as a family while in Florida. The room was spacious and clean and the microwave and fridge were good touches. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We had a problem with the safe in the room and it was sorted without any fuss. Breakfast was good with alot of choice. The kids loved the waffle maker. The hotel was as described and was exactly what I would expect and more from a hotel like this. « less

First - let me say it was clean enough, the staff was very nice and it's ok if you're under 5 feet tall. Maybe 4'6". I'm 5'7" and had to bend fairly low to wash my face and use the mirror. Ever try to put on mascara while bent in half? Also, bring a power strip and extension cord if you have any electronics, And BTW - room105 has a dead outlet. I'll let you play plug in the appliance to figure out which one... (Hint - switch the light around to other outlets before deciding it's dead...). The coffee maker must be moved to another outlet because the cord isn't long enough to reach an outlet if used where it's stored. There isn't a single place that you can plug in your computer and actually sit at a table to use it without bending over. The pillows are half-pillows - still can't figure out why anyone would think decorative throw-sized pillows would make good sleeping pillows... Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place, but for $54, I'd like to be able to stand to use the mirror.
Also, be aware that there's an automatic charge of $1.50 for a safe in your room. They do make it really clear that you can sign a paper to get the $1.50 rebated and absolve the hotel of all responsibility for theft. Of course, that makes you kind of nervous about signing... But let me tell you, the safe is big enough to hide your diamonds and pearls, but you can't fit much more than a couple of coffee cups in it. In other words, your laptops aren't going to fit... The TV is full of static - cable connection is sad. Last, there's a weird step up from the parking lot - if you're tall, you can step high to get up and over it to get in your room, but many will have to walk to the little ramp to actually get onto the sidewalk with a suitcase.
The area is great - we came to go birdwatch at Merritt Island, we'll come back, but next trip we'll spring for the extra dollars and stay at one of the Marriott properties across the road and hopefully can brush our teeth standing up... « less

Thank you Cindy for your feedback. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay. We sent our maintenance to room 105 as soon as you notified us of the issue with the outlet and TV. We also are sorry that the safe fee was an inconvenience for you. The safes and fees are now required for all Choice Hotels so it has nothing to do which how secure our hotel is. We will be working to address the lack of convenient outlets in the room and will keep the height of the mirror in mind for future remodels. We are sorry that we will lose your business to the Marriott but we understand that our budget hotel is not what you were looking for. Thank you.
