This is absolutely poor. This is definitely not a 2.5 stars or even 2. Holiday Inn is considered a 2 or 2.5. They only have free Wifi in lobby. Otherwise you pay. Even if you pay it is verrrrrry slow. Slower than dialup if you ever used it. the rooms or just blah. towels are really bad.TV no remote. Free breakfast but I stayed away. Lobby is so small and everyone was cramped in it trying to access the interent and loud.
Overall not worth the little money i paid. pay and extra 20 dollars anywhere else and you won't regret it. « less

I have stayed in all ranges of hotels, especially budget types, through America and Europe, as well as Scandinavia. My standard is set like this: I need a conveniently located place, conspicuously cleaned up, with good shower and free wifi. When a hotel doesn't provide free internet connection inside the room, you can bet they're the kind you want to avoid. It just seems to reflect the entire idea. Wheter they let aside profit on that to make you feel at home or take the gold digging route and charge at least $6, it seems, for internet access. The lounge computer was charged at a minimum $15 per 30 minutes of use, and $ .50 for a printed page. This last one was fair, though.
Onto the rooms. I got two with my family. One of them was stinky. The other one wasn't but it didn't smell good as well. The airconditioner was noisy but that didn't bother me, still, I feel it was noisy enough so that I need to warn possible sensitive travelers on that aspect. The back of the hotel is turned towards the freeway, so it is noisy at night and you can clearly hear the cars going by. Didn't bother me, I am a deep sleeper, but people who are used to quiet places WILL notice it clearly.
There was a lot of dust in every corner of the room and black mould on the bathrooms. There was a tub but it didn't look clean enough to be used and the drain was broken so you couldn't even try to accumulate water. I am used to taking showers in mountain range stations so my standards ARE low when traveling and I don't bother, so it was great if you know how to take preccautions but my sister and my mother complained. My father didn't say anything.
I didn't enjoy the breakfast. It was poor but they at least had unlimited Orange Juice and Apple Juice. The water there doesn't taste good, though. Worse tap water I've ever had. I still drank it but I'm used to mineral water at home so it wasn't like that.
The staff at the reception always seemed tired and unwilling to actually help. They took their time as if nobody was tired and looking forward for a night of sleep when getting there at midnight. They make you wait and don't care.
If you want to buy anything and have it delivered at the hotel, BE WARNED that they charge $ 5 per package, and if it is a big one (something like 2 boxes of shoes put togheter), it's $10. Another way they have to take money from you. It all seems cheap and the service was cheap too.
I did not like this hotel because for the money I know we could have gotten something better. We were installed, though, and managed the issues on our own because we are used to every kind of traveling situation.
Look elsewhere. These guys need to renovate the rooms urgently.
I also need to mention that the rooms are POORLY lit. There is just one ceiling light near the door and two lamps on the two double bedroom. At night it was rather uncomfortable. I am used to well lit environments and actually we all noticed how poorly lit the rooms were. « less

I was really pleased with my 3 night stay. Wasn't expecting much from a one star but I am happy to report that my visit was great! Friendly service from everyone, spacious pool, ample parking. Room was basic, clean, and working aircon and tv. I would stay here again if I were on a tight budget. « less

I stayed there in Apr 2013. After I got home I was paying my credit card and noticed I got charged twice for the stay. I called three times with no solution. I got put on hold with no return, told to call another number where it sounded like I got maid service, told to call at another time because no one could help me. I had to go through my credit card company to file a complaint. Still have not got problem resolved almost a month later. Stay at your own risk. Watch your credit card charges. « less

This is the second time we have stayed here but before we went thought wed read up as the reviews on here and were a bit worried as it seemed to have gone downhill a bit, but after a great holiday I'd like to put anyone's mind at rest , yes the place is being worked on and the rooms are being renovated in blocks but we had no problems. We got moved to 3 different rooms which wasn't a problem as we wanted to stay on the ground floor and each room was great with pool view. If you want a great holiday on a budget in the middle of Idrive (but NOT noisy) consider this hotel... Cynthia was a great host....can't wait till next year « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"I had already contacted Marriott prior to finding your site, but you got us a deal $24 cheaper per night than Marriott was willing to offer! Also, since the rooms are blocked for our wedding, the website with our own URL was perfect. This was the most convenient and easy to use service I have encountered since starting to plan the wedding. I had the whole room blocking process done in 48 hours, it saved a lot of time and money. Thanks!" C.T. - Richmond, BC
"This website has been an absolute life saver for us! The huge medical convention at McCormick Place had many, many rooms booked or blocked, and my mother and I had called dozens of hotels and been told there was no way we could do wedding blocks!" L.M. - Chicago, IL
