My daughter & I made a trip to Louisiana and felt safe & comfortable at the Best Western Oakdale. What I liked best was that the staff was friendly when we checked in, the breakfast bar was nice & hot and the best part is that the parking lot is well lit. « less

We had a great stay in Oakdale, LA. All hotels should have rooms this clean and smell this nice. Staff was excellent and informative. I will stay here again definitely....

This was a very clean & comfortable motel for the $. We were allowed to check in early to dress for a wedding without them charging us a early check fee ($25). The rooms were spacious & clean. Pleanty of drawer space & closet space. There was absolutely no water pressure in the shower however, and the water was "soft", making it nearly impossible to rinse out suds. The refrigerator worked well, but made such a loud humming noise, that we had to unplug it in order to sleep. The pool seemed rather small, and would be uncomfortable for more than a handfull of guests at a time, there was no hot tub. There were very loud guests upstairs & nextdoor to us, but we simply called mgt to complain, and that was the last we heard of them. I did go up to the front desk in the middle of the night to get an aspirin, and there were several staff members up there cavorting, and making a lot of noise. When I came around the corner from the hallway, I realized they were being quite vulgar, they did apologize, and even gave me my aspirin for free. The breakfast buffet was the usual Motel grub, waffles, muffins, fruit, sausage, bacon, juice or coffee.. it was all fresh & hot. I had no problems hooking up to the wi-fi. We will definitely stay again when we return this summer. « less

This is generally clean and comfortable hotel with helpful staff. The breakfast was a typical hot breakfast. Nain complaint is that the garbage in the eating area was full, tables dirty and coffee was out. There was no one dedicated to ensure the dining area was stocked and clean. The security hold on my credit card remained for over a week after checkout. « less
