The locaion is wonderful and the facility is nice. The staff was unfriendly. It was just fairly clean, the kitchenette and the bathroom floors were sticky. The hallways and elevator areas needed a good detail. Also I was surprised that breakfast wasn't included. « less

Very impressed with our stay at Candlewood. Location was convenient, plenty of parking and room was spotless. I've stayed at numerous hotels but can not say I've seen a room this clean before. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the Cape area! « less

We were recently in Cape Girardeau, Mo for a family reunion and booked a week at Candlewood Suites. Being from California, I am accustom to bad service and clueless staff, I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at the high level of service and attention to detail Matt, Stephanie Scheeter and the others provided to my family! We were travelling with small children and it was nice to have plenty of towels for those extra baths kids always need; the kitchenette, especially the large frig, came in handy for snacks and meals. The rooms were clean and kept in great condition, beds were comfy and we enjoyed the flat screen too. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent value and wonderful customer service! « less

This looked to be fairly new. The location was nice. It was just far enough away from everything that you didn;t have a lot of traffic, but just close enough that it only took a few minutes to get to everything. The rooms were large and very clean. I really have no complaints about anything there! It was a really great stay!! « less

Anytime we travel, we always stay at Candlewood Suites, if possible. This was a last minute trip with very little planning. I basically made the reservation and then drove 3 hours to get there. Candlewood Suites are very nice, clean and serve our purposes for work. This one did not disappoint. I made reservations online and some rooms had the No Smoking icon by them and some did not, I booked a smoking room. Upon check in, I double checked that I had a smoking room and was told it was a non smoking property. Would have been nice to know that when I made reservations. Nowhere on the website did it say it was smoke free. The staff was very nice, offered to cancel the reservation if I wanted to stay somewhere else but also told me where I could smoke outside. I decided to stay and just step outside. They even put me in a room steps from an exit door. My plan worked great until there was a heavy snowfall that evening. Very nice hotel, great staff, good location! My only complaint was the website failed to mention it was smoke free. I brought this fact up to the staff at check in, they said they would check into it. I did enjoy my stay and it was the same quality I have come to expect from Candlewood Suites. Without question, would stay here again. « less
