My family spent three nights here while visiting Clemson University. The hotel is convenient to the university and restaurants and there is a 24H pharmacy right across the street. We arrived in the evening and the front desk clerk ( A clemson student) was friendly and welcoming - engaging my son in conversation about the university and the major he is considering. He shared some personal stories and insight which helped with our visit and assessment of the university.
Once we made it to our room, we had a little issue with a group who was gathering in the room next to us and were quite loud. This, along with a heating unit that had left a strong smokey odor in the room when it was switched on, prompted a visit back to the front desk. The clerk quickly searched for another room and escorted us (helping with our luggage) to another room in a quieter location. The next morning we had a problem with our toliet clogging and the flush tank taking extremely long to refill. We called the front desk and within 2 minutes someone came up and cleared the toliet, but when the tank problem persisted the manager came up and inspected the situation and by the time we returned later that day, all had been fixed and we never had another problem.
The breakfast choices were great and we enjoyed the biscuits with gravy in particular. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again! « less

the only good thing about this location is that the breakfast was much better than the sleep inn in monticello va. other than that, same complaints. except the bathroom was the worst bathroom i have ever had in a hotel room. the toilet and shower stall were separate from sink area. the shower stall was stand alone with no tub. it was literally smaller than one i had on a cruise ship. still no hypo allergenic bedding. allergies in overdrive. « less

I travel about once a month. I've been here before. And I considered other more expensive choices in Clemson...but I continue to come back to Sleep Inn because of the price, value, and comfortable beds, and location. It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel. But sometimes you don't need that, you just need a clean and comfortable place to stay. Other reviewers mentioned the train that comes by...I might have heard it. But it did not wake me or keep me up, so I am not sure what the complaints are all about. Save $$...stay here (use the $$ you saved to have a luscious dinner at Pixie and Bills)! « less

I was recently at the Sleep Inn for three days and want to say it was absolutely fantastic. These people are some of the nicest I've seen. They went out of their way to make sure that all my needs were met / Even beyond that. The Rooms were super nice and clean. Up to date TV's, Refrig and Microwave. Beds were very neatly made and extremely clean. I have stayed in many motels during the past several years and would rank this facility up there with the more expensive motels. Excellent place and super breakfast also. Stop and stay if you are in the Clemson, SC area. « less

I visited my son at Clemson for one night and made a reservation at the Sleep Inn based on other comments. The room was clean, the breakfast good, the hotel quiet and the staff was FANTASTIC. When I was getting ready to leave in the morning I found that the battery in my truck was dead. Also the battery to my cell phone was dead. I went inside and asked Mike, the manager (I think), to use the phone to call AAA. Upon hearing my situation Mike came outside with me and jump started my truck with his vehicle (he also had jumper cables) and found an adapter behind the desk to charge my cell phone at the same time. I have never had service like this anywhere else!!!! « less
