This hotel seems brand new or newly renovated, so everything is clean and has a modern, contemporary decor. It's close to all the area attractions and there are plenty of restaurant options close by. The staff was great! I am very picky about my room location (high floor and not too close to the elevator, etc) and they were able to accommodate me. They even granted us a late check out, which I greatly appreciate, as I'm a slow starter in the mornings. The breakfast was your typical "free" breakfast… cereal, bagels, sausage and formed egg patties, waffle-maker, donuts, etc., but everything was fresh. Because of my aforementioned sleeping habits, I wish the breakfast was offered till 10am instead of just 9am, but I know that I'm probably in the minority of people that would even care about that. ;) The room was clean and uncluttered, I loved the furnishings! The beds were comfortable, although I noticed that one of them had a distinctive dip in one side (which probably just means that everyone who has stayed in that room has slept on that spot), so I just slept on the other bed and it was fine. It was great having an in-room coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge. The only perk missing from the room that would've been nice was a safe. Something else I noticed was that the time on the in-room alarm clock was correct! Maybe a silly thing to point out, but it just shows their attention to detail and desire to make the stay great for their guests. I highly recommend! « less

Very clean hotel, wonderfully decorated, small but very comfortable rooms for a great price. Perfect hotel for a Mammoth Cave visit. The only cons are a very small pool, bad water pressure and a disappointing continental breakfast.
My family and I visited Mammoth Cave for the first time and choose this location for our one night stay. I was really impressed by the decor of the entire hotel. Our room was small but had two large, comfortable beds, and a very nice bathroom. Our room was right across from the pool, the pool is plenty enough for children to enjoy and ranges from 3 feet deep to 5 feet but it is very small. Personally if there was another group of people in there I would have not dropped in, it really is a one family pool.
The free breakfast in the morning included some egg and sausage patties, english muffins and break that you could toast to put the egg/sausage patties on. Two cereal types, some yogurt, and various dry pastries. There were also bananas but the bananas were very rotten, they had rotted off of the stems. It was sufficient but not good.
We really enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay more nights. There was even an entire school bus of high school children that were in the pool (right across from our room) and we did not hear them once during the night. It is a perfect hotel to stay in while visiting Mammoth Cave, I highly suggest it. « less

Long roadtrip, this hotel was our choice for Mammoth Cave visit based on the reviews. Did not disappoint! Clean, newish, high ceilings in the rooms, lovely paint colors, nice bathroom, friendly folks at reception. My one complaint - the laundry - could not dry my clothes, had to have reception do them for me - was up all night dealing with this when I was so tired. Breakfast is nothing special - the typical fare for C.B - Town is not far for meals out, as is Cracker Barrel and a few fast food spots. « less
