Location. The Helka hotel is located in Helsinki, Finland, 200 metres from Kamppi metro station and 800 metres from Central Station. The Temppeliaukio Church is 400 metres away. Hotel Features. The hotel was built in 1928 and refurbished in 2006 in a modern Finnish style. There is a restaurant and bar, and a sauna area that includes a spa tub and relaxation lounge with fireplace. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. Some free parking spaces are available by advance request.
Hotel Helka has a restaurant serving modern Finnish and international dishes, and a lobby bar offering drinks and Finnish specialities. A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided.

Expert Tip. Korkeasaari Zoo, six kilometres from the hotel, is one of the oldest zoos in the world. It is home to a number of endangered species including the snow leopard.

From Helsinki Vantaa Airport (HEL): Distance to Hotel Helka is 20 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The best way to get to Hotel Helka from the airport is by taxi. A taxi will cost approximately 35 EUR. Alternatively, public buses (numbers 415, 451, 519, and 615) leave for Helsinki city centre every 10 30 minutes, and cost about 3.50 EUR. Finnair city buses depart every 15 20 minutes and run until midnight daily. Single tickets cost about 5 EUR. Bus stops can be found outside both terminals. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Helsinki's public transport system (HKL) includes buses, trams, and a metro system. Most of the Metro lines run until 11.30 p.m. Tickets cost less when purchased prior to boarding. A HKL tourist ticket is available, offering unlimited travel on all forms of public transport. Ferries run from the harbour to the Suomenlinna fortress.
Driving directions. From Helsinki Vantaa Airport follow road signs to Helsinki City Centre (Keskusta) until you are on a road 45 (Tuusulan vayla). Carry on for 12.5 kilometres and turn right into Sturenkatu Street. Continue for 2.3 kilometres (Sturenkatu Street changes to Helsinginkatu Street) and take a left turn after the Opera House into Mannerheimintie Street. Carry on for 1.1 kilometres and turn right after the Houses of Parliament to Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu Street. After 400 metres Hotel Helka will be on your right.
