We stayed here one night for business. When we arrived, there seemed to be a lot of police in the vicinity. While checking in, fire alarm went off and no one seemed to care, all the staff kept doing whatever tasks they were initially doing. Went on for 30 or so min. Rooms were okay, mattress old and found hair in the bathtub. When we left to grab dinner, we were pulled over by a cop who wanted to warn us about the hotel and area. He said they were watching the hotel closely for unseemly business people staying in the hotel and advised us to take any and everything out of our car and keep it in the room with us. We did so and quickly left as soon as possible the next morning. « less

Due to the low price and location, I trusted what would normally be a good chain name, Super 8. The place is fine, but it does have some parts that are being renovated. You should insist upon seeing the room first before letting them place you there. The original room they tried to put me in was completely dilapidated. Curtains torn, dirty, carpet missing threads, no blanket, only dirty spread. I was also surrounded by the rooms of the construction workers and rooms that were being renovated. When I asked for a new room, they were a little hesitant, but when I insisted, they gave me a much better room on the first floor. It's still old and sort of smelly, but for $50 a night, you sort of get what you pay for. I would bring my own linens and blanket. Also, leave up your "do not disturb" and forego maid service. There are some seedy characters hanging about. « less

The room looked somewhat clean, but the hallway smelled terrible and the NS room had a stale odor. I found it difficult to breathe the next day so don't exercise in your room! The tarps are still on the roof which doesn't give you confidence in the place when approaching. « less
