I would definitely not recommend this place! What a dive. They give you rooms that are already slept in -- with dirty linen, etc. The first room I was given apparently had recently been used. The second room was locked -- apparently staff didn't know it was currently in use. The third room was disgusting, though not used. All the furnishings were old, worn, bathroom, carpet, etc. were dirty. I have stayed at HoJo before, but nothing like this! Also, the service was terrible. The guy at the front desk was nasty and rude. It's also possible he knew that he was sending me to 'bad' rooms, but didn't care. In addition, they also overcharged my credit card by $10. Howard Johnson's should DEFINITELY dump this franchise. « less

I was a little disappointed upon arrival. I arrived, checked in, was given my room key, only to get to my room and it had not been cleaned yet. The cleaning staff was confused and we ended up standing in the hallway for 10 minutes until it was sorted out. We were eventually given a new and clean room. « less

What a nightmare! first we arrive, the hallway reeked of pot smoke, tons of people walking around, loudly partying. That was not the worst though. We went right to bed, a king sized bed, with 2 tiny 1/2 sized pillows. on an old spring mattress, which made our bodies ache. after waking tired and sore, I went to make the bed and found semen stains all over both sides of both blankets, that's right! Semen! How disgusting. I then took a shower, feeling gross, came out of the shower, got dressed, opened the window, a bright sunny day, started picking up, and what do I find, Cockroaches! In broad daylight Running on the top of the dresser. Killed them, freaked out.. I spent the next 2 hours going thru all our clothes, bagging them, double bagging them, tripple bagging them. Had to go buy new clothes, and dress out of my sister in laws house.. After the wedding, my husband & I just could not sleep there, so we checked out early, and drove all night to get home. I had too take all my clothes to the laundry mat, as I was afraid a roach or 2 might have gotten passed me. We lost the money we spent for the 2nd night of our stay. we were completely stressed, and I still have'nt unpacked the clothes I cleaned at the laundry mat. I probebly never will. Oh, and by the way, I guess continental breakfeast means little debbie cup-cakes and poorly brewed coffee you can see thru. There were also cobwebs on the ceiling and walls. The housekeeping was poor at best. The whole place reminded me of an old dirty truck stop. « less
