My husband and I stayed here last summer and it was great. Comfortable and clean. Steps away from the beach and I love that the hotel provides you with beach necessities. Having traveled by plane from the northeast, you can't bring umbrellas, chairs, and boogie boards and having them provided was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and recommended several places for dining. You will love this hotel. « less

Sorry to see someone having issues with the hotel. Our stay was great ! We arrived late and had a great room waiting for us. The room was very clean and beds comfortable. WiFi was a little weak, but worked.
Lobby was clean and the breakfast was nice on a Saturday morning. The beach was a block away and provided a beautiful sunrise.
As to local restaurants, they are scattered all over the island so use a local map to find one to suit your taste. As we were just traveling through we didn't get the chance, but plan to come back and tour the historic downtown area. « less

Let me start off by saying we were greeted by the nastiest front desk manager and throughout our stay, no one was any better (with the exception of one gentleman who worked in the afternoon). The roomed smelled funny and our request for 2 queen beds was completely ignored. While the hotel is located on the beach, all restaurants and shops are at least a mile away. I'm so happy we only booked this room for one night before moving to the Hampton Inn on the other side of the island! « less

We had a comfortable, quiet, 4 night stay at this hotel. We were on the 3rd floor and had a very nice view of the ocean. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed the full hot breakfast each morning.
We experienced slow Internet service a couple evenings. The first evening I called the front desk to inquire about it, a very helpful gentleman took care of it and even called our room to check that it had improved. The second night, a not so helpful young lady suggested I come down to the lobby for a better connection OR use their house computer... The cleaning staff also neglected to leave shampoo daily, so we had to ask for it at the front desk. Small problems...
The Sandy Bottoms restaurant is a short walk away and offered good food, 1/2 price drinks, live music and beachside seating. Fort Clinch State Park and the Egan Creek Greenway are right there also and worth touring. We brought our bikes and found many areas to ride easily.
This is a very nice place to stay for the location and value. « less

Shower was like a trickle of water, and temperature never got above lukewarm, and I took my shower very early in the AM. Breakfast was good, and breakfast bar was well stocked by a cheery server. « less
