My only complaint is no elevators so when booking you need to request ground floor. We didn't know this and all the rooms were taken on the ground. I had my 90yo grandmother with me which made it very difficult. Other than no elevators, overall stay was nice. Would stay here again but will request ground floor next time when I book. « less

We stayed here again this week to visit my wife's family. Outside the grounds are well tended and neat. Inside everything in the hotel is kept clean from the lobby, to the breakfast area, to our room and the hallways and stairs. As noted before, there is NO elevator,so if that's a problem be sure to book a lower level room. Our room had 2 double beds, chair and footstool, desk with a comfortable work chair, free wireless internet,micro zap and mini-fridge,coffee maker,and large TV. Bathroom again spotless, and plenty of big towels,and full size vanity. Bed was very comfortable,and the room was quiet. Had a little trouble regulating the temperature with the window unit,seemed to get too cold or too hot,but that may be just me. Breakfast was a full array of make your own waffles, sandwiches,fresh cut-up fruit,sweet rolls,cereal,juices,hard boiled eggs,etc. Bar was kept well stocked and tables were cleaned and wiped down. I'm not a coffee drinker, and I noted that for the first time in a hotel, they have a milk dispenser,and when I arrived in the afternoon,and I was able to get a glass of cold refreshing milk--I really liked that little touch. This is just a nice property, that is well managed, well staffed by friendly people,and it shows that they are proud of the nice guest experience they offer. We definitely will stay here when visiting Hickory,unless they lower their standards in the future. You're wasting money elsewhere in Hickory for a hotel room. « less

I use the fitness center and definately like the breakfast feast. A nice open sit down area is relaxing. A definate place to consider when traveling. The rooms make me feel like home way from home. « less
