This hotel was a great value,large room, comfy bed, and very quiet. I came to Chico to check on my rental home and this hotel was close enough so I could walk to the property. I really didn't have to move the car from the parking lot because downtown Chico has everthing you need within walking distance. The breakfast leaves a little to be desired but the staff was nice and the room was inexpensive. « less

This hotel is great for visiting the downtown area of Chico so that you don't have to drive downtown and risk a DUI or the cost of a taxi back to your car. The bed was shockingly comfortable and soft! The room was in much better condition then the other downtown Chico hotels. The service was awesome and check out was 11 am which is much better than most. I work in hotels and am very critical and perceptive of many many things. THIS IS A OLDER HOTEL JUST LIKE ALL THE REST IN THIS SECTION OF CHICO! So if you want luxury go to the Diamond or at the edge of Chico to the Marriotts&Hilton's. This hotel is very reasonable and if anyone says the price is high they don't travel very much at all. Hotel costs are very high and there isn't much you can do about it other than raise the price and $80 is pretty dang good. Already coming back and not dreading my hotel experience! « less

I stayed here once a year ago and had a great experience. The hotel is a great value, is clean, and is close to town. When I stayed there the first time I thought it was the perfect balance between inexpensive cost and clean, comfortable, and nicely located accommodations.
This time... I had my entire family stay here upon my recommendation, and no one slept well! Our neighbors were SO noisy and were up making noise and talking loudly outside our room until 1 or 2 in the morning. Not exactly the time at night where you want to potentially wake up, put on presentable clothes and confront a potentially drunk person to "quiet down." The noise kept us all from getting a good night's sleep, so I would maybe not stay there again if it is on a weekend at least, since it seems to be a popular spot for the after-bar-closing crowd. I was disappointed that my entire family stayed there and regretted it.
Long story short... Weekdays, a GREAT place to stay if you are on a budget and want a clean, comfortable room. Weekends, I would stay somewhere else if you are a light sleeper! « less

We were going to my moms funeral and stayed there November 1st to November 2nd. First i live near Las Vegas and my family and i had driven straight up because when we got to our other hotel half way we were told our reservation was canceled and we had to keep traveling. We arrived here at 6 30 am and asked how long till we could check in they gave us rooms immediately!!!! We had reserved 5 rooms for the family. The rooms were all nice , well equipped and we had no problems. Breakfast was continental and when we asked if we could stay in the rooms a bit longer as the funeral was at 2 they let us check out at 1 30 pm. These people went over and beyond helping my family cope in a bad situation. Thank you for being there for us and making this easier on us :). « less
