Beautiful hotel, outstanding service, excellent food. We made the acquaintance of some other guests, who were also delighted with the rooms and the service of the staff. It was wonderful to have a relaxing and cozy place to stay before our next day of shopping. We have stayed at many hotels, but we have never been treated so royally. « less

I stayed here with a group of 6 friends. It was not our first choice of hotel, however, the travel agent recommended it when we could get bookings elsewhere. What a bonus that turned out to be for us, as the hotel was brilliant. Very cool art deco exterior and interior, clean and comfortable rooms, actually very convenient to MRT, delicious breakfast, and staff who bent over backwards to be helpful and welcoming. Would definitely chose this hotel the next time I am in Taipei. « less

Had no knowledge of hotel before staying as booked by colleague. Was pleasantly surprised by decor - think they have done the Art Deco theme very well. Images on walls, design features, thought were distinctive and not tacky. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times throughout our 3 night, 3 day stay - there were 7 of us and we all enjoyed it. Breakfast was good, variety of food nicely presented. Sunday morning was very busy for breakfast so perhaps might go a little earlier on that day. However, didn't wait long and there was still plenty of food and they extended the breakfast period. I would stay here again. While not central, it was a taxi ride or MTR ride from anywhere we needed to go - very easy. « less

Dear guest,
All The Landis team is glad to receive your good comments! We sincerely appreciate your opinion and the time you spent to write it.
It is a pleasure to know that you and your colleagues had a nice time in Taipei. This is the best reward for us when our guests are satisfied about our personnalized services, our facilities and decoration and are willing to share their good experience.
We are sorry that you and your group had to wait to sit down for breakfast. We are currently working on a solution for such busy days like Sunday. We will do our best so that next time, you don't have to go though this again.
We are looking forward to welcoming you and your friends very soon. It was a pleasure to meet you and I would be glad to advice you about more nice places of interest and tasty restaurants!

I had an upgraded room with a queen bed and separate seating area with 2 flat screen television. The room was quite large with a large bathroom by asian standards. There was an electronic Toto commode seat similar to what I have seen in high end Japanese hotels. The room was very clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. Quiet hotel. I ate at 2 of the 3 restaurants and enjoyed them very much. Drinks were quite expensive but not unexpected for this type of hotel/restaurant. The breakfast buffet was substantial and quite good and featured Chinese, Japanese, European, and American fare; it was not particularly special but exceeded expectations. The Chinese restaurant in the lower level was outstanding. There was no view from my room. The view from the gym/spa level was outstanding. The spa seemed very nice, The gym is large, clean and well outfitted. The location is okay; not particularly close to major attractions but not particularly far. I had no trouble getting to attractions and meetings using public transportation and taxis. There is a lovely temple walking distance. There are a number of small, good local restaurants near by. I tried to find a pub or tavern nearby but was not successful (I am sure the staff would have helped if I asked). They changed money for me at a fair rate. They lent me an umbrella one very rainy night. The staff was very helpful at writing down the names of locations for me in Chinese so that the taxis would get me to the right places. I would stay here again. The price is quite reasonable for this type and quality. « less
