"Accommodations in Shamrock Texas"
Overall Score4.0/ 5
As a tour group operator of senior citizens, we stayed at the Sleep Inn in Shamrock about 5 years ago when the property was just built. Then two years later we stayed again, a couple of weeks ago we made our third stay at this motel. The night we stayed the hotel was sold out. We had one room that a tourist entered that was not cleaned properly, and we had a room that had a bad smell. The room that I stayed in was very nice. It appears that several rooms are rented perhaps on a weekly basis, to locals who have jobs in that area in construction work of some sort. When we stayed at Sleep Inn five years ago it was the newest hotel in town. Recently a Holiday Inn Express has been built. Depending on the cost factor we would still stay at Sleep Inn unless we could get the same rate, or close to it, at the newer hotel in town.
