I stayed the first week in May, and was very displeased with the housekeeping. My room was never cleaned, it seemed like all they did was take out my trash and dirty towels, in return they forgot to give me clean ones! My sheets were NEVER changed, even after I purposely stayed in my room to ask the housekeeper, Jennifer I think her name is, to do so. Upon which she asked me, very rudely I must state, to vacate the room I paid for, because their policy states guests can not be in the rooms (which we pay for) while housekeeping is cleaning them. I stayed in alot of different Holiday Inn Express' and was never told to vacate my room so it could be cleaned! When I told the front desk, they acted like it was no big deal, and all I was is a problem. I then asked to talk to a manager and was told the gen. manager was gone for the day, so I left a message for him, but never got a response back! I picked this hotel because, from the outside, at night with all the outside lights on, it looked very nice and my room looked clean and comfortable, but as my stay progressed my room went from very nicely done and very clean to filthy, due to the housekeeper not dusting, vacuuming, or most importantly changing my sheets (in a matter of one week, my sheets were not changed,not even once!), the housekeeper that did my room was very unfriendly, the front desk girl was rude, the manager was never there (my entire stay I never seen him), there is no room service, for being an express hotel there is no pool or no gym on site (I shouldn't have to get in my car, waste my gas, and drive to a gym or pool), and the hotel itself (even though it looked nicely done) seemed un-organized when it came to certain aspects! If not for the uneventful stay at 'The Bates Motel', my honeymoon would of been perfect! Needless to say, I will NEVER return to the hotel from hell!! « less

We deeply regret that you were displeased with Housekeeping. It is our standard policy that guest staying more than one day get their sheets changed every alternate day. If a guest continually post a "do not disturb" sign on the door over a period of a couple of days, there is not much the housekeeping can do,but they do report it to the front desk and the front desk tries to contact guest and ask if there is a specific time of the day they would like service. We do not have any policy that states that housekeeper will not service a room if guest is present. It is, however, common sense that a housekeeper will do a better and efficient job of cleaning if guest were not in the room, getting in the way. A manager is always on duty 24/7 to resolve any issues guests may have. If the mager on duty is unable to resolve for the guest, then the matter is taken to the GM by the manager on duty. We have gone through our guest history for the entire month of May and did not find any issues unresolved or otherwise, the kind are claimed in this post.

Checked in the hotel. Turned on A/C in room. There were ants crawling inside of control box. Went to front desk and told them about the problem. They reached under the counter and handed me RAID. Not a good sign. I wanted to take a shower later in the evening. I opened the curtain, there were 1/2 dozen long black hairs on the wall. No way you could miss that. Then I looked at the floor, more hairs on the floor. That floor had not been cleaned in a long time. I used five towels and still had filth and hair coming up. I went to the front desk and they handed me a spray and towels. I took pictures. I'm hoping I can add them to this review. It was so horrible. The only person who addressed the issue and was apologetic, was the front desk clerk the next morning. She cleared the bill, apologized for the gross room. She was clearly embarrassed. I brought her the towels I used to clean the bathroom. She was shocked. The attached pics of the towels were the fifth and sixth towels I used to clean the floor. « less

No good deed goes unpunished aptly applies to this lady who has written such a filthy review and we don't know what her intentions were in defaming our hotel like that. We went out of our way to accommodate her when we were at 100% occupancy because she referred to a friend who was staying with us and she begged us as in her own words she was"bouncing from hotel to hotel". Not a single ant was found in her room neither dead or alive and the dirt on the towels could easily be the result of her wiping her own shoes on it. We maintain the highest of IHG standards and would not compromise our brand name for any reason. It is surprising to note that the lady checked into our hotel at 4pm and checked out the following morning after breakfast and during the entire time she was there, she did not find the alleged "filth". Yes, she did come and ask us for ant spray at check-in, becasue she said she had seen ants "at other places and they made her nervous and just in case". We gave it to her to ease her nervousness, still maintaining good service attitude towards her. And yes, we do keep ant spray handy, along with other essential items like first aid kit, etc, for just in case situations like when guests leave food lying around the room, etc. And if the lady is from this planet she will know that ants are nature's creatures, they go where they want to which is not an admission that there were ants in her room, because we checked and there were none! The girl at the front deskthe next morning was shocked and embarrassed by this lady's utterly loud, and demeaning language and felt very threatened by her and just adjusted her entire bill.

Reserved on priority club so price was reasonable enough. Front desk clerk was friendly. Room - king bed - looked pleasant enough but bathroom smelled like a dirty wet mop! After being in the room for just a short time, the rest of the room took on that odor. Couldn't open the window to air out or even turn on the air. Room remained way too warm for comfort. Upon leaving, we saw a dead cockroach in the hall just down from our room. Dead is better than crawling. Will not be returning. « less

Kind of older and tired for a Holiday Inn. Check in, staff, entrance are all fine (parking is limited). The third floor and my non-smoking room had the faint smell of being a old motel where lots of smoking had gone on in the past. Even the towels & bedding seemed kind of old & tired & not fresh. Woke up with some type of bug bite on my thigh... Paid $133 with AAA discount, kind of overpriced for the sub-par quality. Will stay in a newer hotel during my next pass through the area. « less
