Location was decent and rooms were clean but average. What made me give this place 4 stars was the great service we recieved. After check out the front desk clerk (Todd) let us keep our car parked for free at the hotel while we went to the beach (we took the bus - the stop just up the street from the hotel) so we didn't have to fight finding a parking spot there. He even lent us towels from the front desk since we didn't have any beach towels. He also left directions for us to get to Hollywood for after the beach. I would recommend this place if staying in the LA area - especially if you want to be close to the beach and Santa Monica Pier without breaking the bank. « less

We had a decent stay in this hotel. Room we had was very laud (you could hear everything people in the room above were doing) hence would not recommend for a longer stay. It was a clean hotel with a decent location- about 30 blocks from the Santa Monica Promenade and beach. « less

I stayed there only for one night by the end of April. Hotel has a large parking and very close to Trader Joe's supermarket. You can also find a few eating places in 15-20 walking distance. Room was clean, large enough with a functional kitchen. Bathroom was very clean and large as well. If you want to go pier and sea side you can find buses but I think they best way is to rent a car to discover all around. I think prive level is a bit high as hotel is not very close to the main area. Overall my experience was great. « less

We had an amazing stay at Travelodge! It was perfect! Very friendly staff, a simple but good enough breakfast, a perfect room, big, clean, it has everything you need, good shower and a really comfortable bed! The location is perfect too! Really close to Santa Monica pier and its restaurants, shops and of course the beach. You can reach it really easy by bus, across the street, it comes and goes really often for just one dollar. Further for LA you will need a car, but in this area you just could take the bus. For your (rental) car there is enough free private parking space. We really enjoined Travelodge! I would recommend it for couples, friends and solo. « less
