We go to Seneca Casino at least once a year ... usually stay at either the Seneca hotel and in he past across the street at The Sheraton but that no longer offers "smoking" rooms.
It was a spur of the moment trip and the Casino hotel was sold out ... figured we only "sleep" in the room so how bad could the Econo Lodge be? VERY close to the casino and the price was GREAT).
Well you DEFINITELY get what you pay for.
Check was less than impressive. It was fast but the guy behind the counter was the most miserable person I've met in a long time. They also run your credit card in full prior to handing you the keys. When we got off the rickety elevator to the 3rd floor the smell of paint fumes was overwhelming. Whoever they have contracted to "paint" is doing a terrible job (painting OVER towel racks and light switches instead of removing them).
Room itself (Room 308) wasn't disgusting but it wasn't "clean" either. Bedspread had large cigarette burns in it, shower needs regrouting, back door wouldn't close properly, etc ...
NEVER EVER AGAIN ... will be planning better and staying at the Casino in the future. « less

Ohhh god no.....guy at front stole money off us. The place is worse than a hostel. There is no parking for guests. The place was a pig pen. The place stnks with smoke. The sheets were dirty and we would not sleep on them. It was new year eve and no other place to stay close to casino. Run down and filthy. Shower missing handle. Towels like sand paper. Very rude front desk. India resturant....no way would we eat food. Would be better accomadations in trunk of your car « less

This may not be a Five Star accommodation, but the price was reasonable and the Econo Lodge on Rainbow Boulevard definitely deserves five stars for Customer Service! Doug, the Front Desk Clerk, deserves an A+++ for always being cheerfully service oriented. He dressed professionally in a tie and always made me feel like I was the favorite guest. Thank you, Doug, for being the Highlight of my stay at your accommodation. The room actually had windows that you could open and receive fresh air. The microwave and refrigerator were of excellent quality and were clean. The microwave popped excellent popcorn – also a big plus. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the sheets were soft and very clean. The shower worked great and the bathroom was immaculate. I have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS – everything was perfect! The complimentary breakfast is provided in Sweet BeeLin’s Diner which is attached to the motel. Guests should be made aware that although you receive a “complimentary breakfast” valued at $1.99, if you sit at one of the 9 small tables, you are waited on by a waitress, and therefore you are expected to leave a tip. You can order off the menu and receive a $1.99 credit off any $4.00 order. The food was good and the service was cheerful but if you are on a limited budget, don’t sit down, and order the “complimentary” items offered to go. The location of this motel is also excellent. You can walk to the Falls and the public transit bus and trolley stops are conveniently located very close by. I stayed in this motel for five nights and my only regret is that I could not stay longer. « less

Never again. The dude with the glasses at the front desk was the slowest/rudest person I've ever seen. The Indian restaurant did stink up the area & the parking sucked, but the housekeeper was friendly and even moved her car so we could FINALLY park. The rooms were clean, but the wall paper was falling off & the heat wasn't all that great either. The price wasn't to bad..but I won't be coming back until they get a new front desk clerk & a bigger parking lot! « less
