There were four friends traveling. We were in town for a tournament. We never did get a key to the room the entire time. The key machine was broken all evening and night so someone had to let us in the room each time. There were 2 wash cloths for 4 people. The motel was broken up into 2 sections and they were about a block apart. There was one ice machine in the whole place and it was in the other section from where we were staying. The building was not handicapped accessible. We could not take the baggage cart to the room, as we had to do stairs - no ramp. Toilet was not working and never fixed. Heater blew cold air. We told the desk clerk and there was no offer to fix anything or to return any money. Ashley was the person who ran to get our wash cloths, ice, etc and let us in the room each time. She was lovely. The rest of the stay was for the birds. They probably wouldn't even stay there. « less

After driving for 6 hours I met my husband in the parking lot. He got out of his car and got into mine. We kissed and then hugged for a few moments (we had not seen each other for 3 weeks) and then a man yelled, "hey, you got a room here". I yelled no and my husband yelled yes. We were getting a room there but we took a minute to greet each other and I guess that minute was too long. He then proceeded to tell us that since we didn't have a room there that we had to leave the parking lot or he was calling the cops. What a joke. We are adults in our 50's driving nice vehicles. He should have asked another question, will you be checking in shortly or something to that. I guess the Quality Inn has safety issues.... My husband got out of car and said who are you? He said, "Don Moore, head maintenance man and I am not going to ask you to leave again" (this is where he pulls out his phone like he is calling 911). I told my husband that I was not staying there and we went to a different hotel. Before leaving the parking lot I drove over to Don Moore and told him that we were checking in but he didn't give us a chance and that Quality Inn just lost our business. His response, "Oh, well." So, before you check in just know that the maintenance man walks the parking lot pushing a shopping cart with cleaning supplies looking to run off any and all evil doers so I guess you will be safe. Also, as soon as you pull into the parking lot run and check in otherwise Don Moore might have to yell at you from across the parking lot threatening to call the police on you. « less

The check-in process was painless enough. However, the lobby had an odor, and while we were inside, some shady-looking character was standing right outside the door smoking and gawking at our daughters. We looked around a little, and the breakfast area and pool looked decent enough. We got back in our car and drove around to the door closest to our room. While driving, I noticed that the room windows were stationary and old. When we walked into the hall to go to our room, the smell hit us immediately. The room didn't smell any better. (The fact that the windows don't open may help explain the smell.) Everything was extremely dated and in poor repair. Carpet worn and stained, ceiling poorly patched, too many coats of paint, etc. We checked the bed and found hair. A check of the bathroom found more hair. At that point, we decided we could not stay there. The front desk employee was very apologetic and graciously cancelled our reservation. We moved next door to the Fairfield Inn, which was more basic but much cleaner.
This hotel is unfortunately past its useful lifespan. I cannot see where anything less thatn a complete renovation would make it liveable. « less

Our Sorority booked this hotel for a weekend convention. We had about 95 ladies and booked about 35 rooms for 2 nights. We had some issues with some rooms but the hotel and staff took care of things (i.e. toliet not working, smell in rooms) even gave money back on 1 room. The staff was great and very helpful, nice, could not really ask for any nicer staff. They are in the process of remodeling. « less
