Through all our family stays at local and distant hotel and motels, this location and corporation has truly been the best. Yes, we have stayed and have made arrangements for relatives at hotels such as The Ayres Inn, Marriott, Hyatt and alike, as well as their extensions -- yet total price, usual availability "availability", property accessibility, surrounding atmosphere with regard to grounds, maintenance and cleanliness is spectacular. The staff, including housekeeping are very pleasant. Attitudes that I've seen of Managers and front desk staff are (as far as I can see) untainted by late evenings, daily rush-rush, guests and possible clients. We are so happy that you have put an add in a local Anaheim California travel brochure. We would have never thought HJ would have a location that reasonable, Mater of Fact -- to actually HONOR the add in the flyer is a first for us in over 8 years of bookings at hotels and motels. Usually its the luck-of-the-draw to see if you and you usually WONT get the better price add. But to also be this lucky at a hotel which is taken care of properly, down to the condition of the walls and the beds is surpurb. We do not usually find this. Twice I have stayed with my son's group and x-husbands family with a different hotel/motel named chain at a location in the mountains and once up in santa maria area, and although it was a better quality and priced location of those other chains' locations, they were still not attentive nor personable. They also did not show or give-off the more professional yet comfortable and friendly vibes (as you might call it) they allows us to feel comfortable, that we can trust howard johnsons and know we will be welcomed back and can trust what we will experience here. Since our first two days that I am mentioning hereon this review of April 6th and 7th, we have tried a few other howard johnsons and two other chains, just because of the convenience of timesframes vs bus times we need to access in the am at check out, and we said forget it, its not worth it no matter what necessary need for the change from hj in orange, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, and to tell you the truth: "We feel most comfortable" and PREFER to stay here.
