The location is close to all things tourist want to do. You can walk to the Star Ferry, along the harbor, or in the main shopping district. Don't miss taking the 'metro' system, superb and easy to use. Stop is right outside the hotel.
Rooms are elegant, large, clean, everything is provided including a shoe shine.
Breakfast not quite as good as in Shanghai but no one would complain. The Chinese and Japanese restaurants in the hotel are exceptional (and pricey) but worth it. Some of the best shushi I have ever had. The Chinese restaurant is elegant and you won't find much on the menu that you will recognize. « less

Service at reception is good. I just feel sorry for the lovely lady who tries to make sure everyone stays in 1 queue - the Chinese people give her a hard time & just jump the queue.
Staff are very friendly & eager to please.
The location can be a bit tricky for the MRT as it is just off one of the main lines - sometimes it's just easier to take a taxi to Kowloon station & then go from there.
Best hotel I've stayed in in Hong Kong so far & would love to return. « less

The location is a good if you like to see the Harbour view. Choose a room with a full harbour view and you will not repent. The hotel is like any other Shangrila Property which is top class and the breakfast was very nice including good vegetarian choices. One strange thing however, was the absence of a bath tub in the room. The room size is big so I dont think the size of the room was an issue. The service is very good. Even if you have work around Central, then it makes sense to live here as going to Central takes around 20 mins in the morning by cab and costs around HKD 150 including the tunnel charge. « less
