I have stayed at the Hampton Inn at Portland Airport many times over the years. I thought by now it would be run down but if anything it seems nicer. My room had a huge king size bed which came with a note saying the duvet cover and sheets had been cleaned for my use which i thought was especially great because normally the first thing I throw on the floor is the bedspread. The other thing I like about the hotel is there is a runway behind it (no, you cannot hear the noise) and it's very entertaining if you're lucky enough to have a room with the view of the runway. Otherwise you can stand outside and watch which is what I did. « less

It is a bonus that even though they have an outdoor pool, you have access to and can use the indoor pool next door at the Sheraton. Love staying here. « less

My boss was my "neighbor" so unsure how a normal neighbor would be with sound, etc wise. If you stay at this hotel...ask to be as far away from the airport runway as possible. I was and it didn't bother me. « less
