We stayed at this HIE in early May for three nights. Our room was a little late in being ready; however, they more than made up for that when we received a very large and newly renovated suite. We did book a suite, but didn't expect what we got for the money. We had three adults in the room, and we never felt cramped at all. Breakfast was good and the location was excellent. We were close to the sights and downtown. Staff was friendly and took care of our needs. « less

We stayed here both on the way down to FL and the trip back. It was very clean, it is newly remodeled, and the staff was extremely nice. In fact, I was really impressed with every staff person we encountered from the front desk to housekeeping to the ladies that were in charge of the breakfast. On our way down they gave us little check in bags with bottled water and granola bars for our children which they thought was great! The breakfast was surprisingly good for a free meal before we headed out. I would highly recommend! We have 5 kids and they had suite to fit us all comfortably for the night and it's location right off the highway is perfect for us. « less

I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels in other areas for business purposes as they suit my needs perfectly. The rooms & bathrooms are pristine & the moment you enter, it's an "ahhhh" moment. Lovely HDTVs, coffee pot, cups, ice bucket all readily handy. The staff is friendly & accommodating & the daily breakfasts give you what you need to get you happily filled up and out the door. Easy access to the highway down the hill as well as a selection of eateries including Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel, Wendy's, Logan's, & a strip mall at the bottom of the hill that includes a Mexican restaurant, a Chinese eatery, a pizza joint, & a Super Wal-Mart and a Dollar Store for any necessities/food items you may need. Can't go wrong with this choice--nice to know what to expect when you have business on your mind--hate to leave the room or TV, ha! « less

My family stayed here 1 night on our road-trip back from FL. We chose it because of the Holiday Inn brand and its close proximity to Ruby Falls & Rock City.
As for the room itself, it was clean. But the room heater was very loud, affecting sleep quality; wish we could have turned it off but it was still too cold to do so. The one very good thing about this hotel is the staff: from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was courteous & helpful.
Unfortunately, the next am we personally saw that 2 cars in the parking lot had been broken into (they had shattered windows and police reports were taken)! Not sure how this Holiday Inn monitors its parking lot, but having experienced this, I would not feel comfortable staying here again the next time we're in Chattanooga. « less

I am glad that you were satisfied with the comfort and cleanliness of your room, as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff. We go above and beyond to ensure that we provide comfort and hospitality. Lookout Mountain is one of the prime tourist areas in Chattanooga because of its picturesque mountain landscape, and close proximity to Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the Incline Railway.
We have 24 hour surveillance all throughout our property, and as a result we were able to assist the police in apprehending the suspects. The incident that occurred that weekend is not a regular occurrence and several hotels were hit in the area. Unfortunately there are criminals everywhere and that is not a reflection of the safety of our hotel or the quality of our brand.
Thank you so much for your feedback and I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your trip while visiting the Chattanooga area!
