It's all about expectations. We went to Memphis for the Beale St. music festival and needed a clean, safe place to sleep. Absolutely met our expectations. As far as the "snarling pit bull" mentioned in a prior review, I saw a beautiful, well mannered pit in the lobby. Must be owned by a regular guest.Got the impression there are a lot of construction workers staying there long term. If you want the Peabody, pay the price. If you need a bed while you enjoy yourself in Memphis, this is a good bet. « less

Over all, the rooms appeared to be OK. But I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS West Memphis, Super-8, EVEN TO MY WORST FOE. Hotel stay is all about good customer service, but if you want to experience what WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE is, try checking in this hotel. I had pre-paid for my stay, but they have more than double charged my card (checked my billing after a week). The lady at front-desk rather than solving the issue, hung-up the phone twice while conversing. Her say is, I will do what my manager says, and not what is the right thing to do. Picks up arguement with my colleagues during the stay. Not sure if this hotel could have repeat customers, ever.A testimony, to worst customer service.!! IF U WANT TO RUIN U'R TRIP, give it a shot by staying at this hotel.!! « less

I am a construction worker and have stayed in some dumps in my time but this takes the cake they use shower mats for towels because that don't have enuff for all the rooms and you can ask for towels and be told sorry we don't have any the worst part is I am fighting to to get money back that they have took from my credit card beware what people don't know is that hotels can put holds on your credit cards and that hold can stay on until the hotel lifts it so you can't use the money nor dispute the charge and this hotel is doing that to me for 226.50 so rent at your own risk. « less
