Stayed at this Best Western a couple of weeks ago for an out-of-town family wedding. Service was very good and the rooms were nice. We have 2 kids and there was plenty for them to do at the hotel (pool, mini-putt, etc.) Service was friendly in general. The only complaint I have is regarding the hotel's restaurant. The service is quite poor. We had breakfast there twice during our stay. Service was slow (took over 1/2 hour to get our bacon and eggs, and there weren't too many people in the restaurant at that time - our table and another table) and the waitress borderline rude. The breakfast was adequate for our needs, though I would go elsewhere for lunch and dinner. « less

No breakfast included or even a discount at the attached restaurant. Front desk staff not interested in helping when we asked questions. The ignored us totally. Bathroom was old as were the towels. Not very good value for your money. « less

The Best Western is located in a convenient location for shopping and for highway access. Most sightseeing in St. Catharines will require a car, and everything in the region is easily accessible from this hotel. The hotel staff were hospitable, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the wireless internet was fast and easy to connect, and the room had a good-sized fridge with freezer. The TVs are updated and will accept an iPad connection, so there was truly little left to want. The hotel is very close to the highway, but we didn't hear a noise all night. They have only a few pet friendly rooms on the ground floor, and these have patio doors to the car park so -- very convenient for packing/unpacking, and for escorting our 150lb Newfoundland in/out on walks without having to alarm guests in the corridors. The pet fee was $15/night.
If there was anything amiss with this room, it was perhaps the lack of a microwave; however, I rarely use a microwave in a hotel room except to boil water, and I'd prefer a small kettle or water boiler. The room has a coffee maker, but those don't heat the water enough for a good cup of tea. This truly wasn't a significant issue.
We enjoy St. Catharines and the region. We will definitely consider the Best Western for our next stay. « less

Coming soon: We are excited to welcome the Outlet Collection of Niagara development in May 2014 only 5 minutes away from our hotel! All of our rooms are equipped with mini firdges and we are in the process of adding more microwaves to our rooms with 75% completed. We hope to see you soon.
