Hotel overall was fine, but the room felt damp. It almost seemed as if the carpeting had been wet at some point. Staff was friendly, but not overly enthusiastic. I would rate as very average for the price - not bad but nothing to write home about. However, wedding facilities and food were very nice and well done. Towel pets a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was good. « less

I'm always travelling because of work, and primarily stay at Ramada because of my company's policies. Most of the hotels are pretty run of the mill, good prices, good food, good service. It's not often you come across a friendly and courteous staff that actually make you feel so welcome, and that they are there to truly make your stay better. All of my interactions with the staff were positive, but I was especially impressed by a manager named Janet. She was one of the friendliest managers I've ever come across in all my travels. She always had a big smile, and was consistently engaging. She made sure my stay was satisfactory and ensured I didn't want for anything the hotel could provide. Her demeanor and outgoing nature made me feel like I was talking to a favorite aunt I only see a few times a year, who just wants to make sure you're happy. Kudos to you Toms River Ramada, as you are definitely top notch compared to many of the Ramada Inns I've been to before. Next time I'm in the area, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else, even if it's a bit longer to drive. « less

I was bit at a min of 18 times by spiders I think. I reported it to the desk. Two days later I checked to see if the problem was handled. The clerk checked the book, found where the report was logged in but no enter that it was taken care of. By this time I had over a dozen bites. I waited a couple of more days, at that point I then had a total of over 18 bites. I would have reacted sooner but assumed it was fumigated. It had not so I asked to speak to a manager. She was shocked at the problem and saw and felt some of the bites (at my invitation). Then I was moved and the room acted upon. I was there over a month as I am frequently when I travel and this was tied for the worst stay in over 15 years on the road. The manager was very nice, but it was far too late. « less

When my family and I walked into the hotel we were very happy with staff and our room. This hotel is very clean and close to mostly everything you can think of.
