We stayed at the hotel for a wedding we were attending. The walls around our window were crumbling and moldy. You could tell this was an old hotel that they had tried to update. The next morning was Sunday / Mother's Day. We were all dressed up and coming through the lobby at 11am, the floors were wet and we almost fell because it was so slippery. Then, outside, they were power washing right in front of the entrance-with everyone checking out and going out for Mother's Day-horrible time to do that-water and dirt spraying everywhere! It is hard to pick just one thing...We requested additional towels, but the person at the front desk said we had to come get them, despite having plenty of people working and housekeepers in the hall. Also, the breakfast was not good, compared to other hotels. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable « less

Did an overnight here after a very good experience in Washington state in an Hyatt House in Bellevue. Property was very handy to all the shopping and dining between Harbinson and Lake Murray Road. Front desk was very nice, rooms are roomy and clean. It is nice to be able to relax and watch TV on the nice sofa. Pleanty of parking and next door to a Cracker Barrel. Price at $100 was market with other options in Irmo. Downside was a musty order in the room. However this is common in South Carolina hotels with all the humidity. Not overwhelming, and you kind of forgot about it after a while. The big negative was Breakfast. Hot options were a canadian bacon and egg sandwich which was dried out and had zero taste. The other was a half-bagel egg, spinach, ham and cheese that was only slightly better. I had a much better breakfast in Bellevue. Maybe this is the difference in the "House" versus "Place" concept. Based on Breakfast alone, I would probably do the HI Express on Harbinson next time. « less

I stayed at the HP in Columbia/Harbinson earlier this week as part of short business road trip to SC from VA and had a very pleasant stay. The property was well kept and the room was nothing short of what the Hyatt Place promotes. There was a slight hiccup with the wireless service, but the staff immediately looked into the problem to get it running again. At first, while I waited in the lobby, I was treated to refreshments. Once the network was reconnected, they called up to the room to let me know. We spoke with the front desk staff about our reason for traveling and the next day, they inquired about our progress. As always, the HP breakfast was above and beyond any standard continental spread offered for free at other chain hotels. I enjoyed turkey&egg biscuits, french toast, bagels, fresh friut, and had a variety of teas to choose from. Overall, we were very much pleased and will be sure to make this our "go to" lodging during our next stay in the area. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely use your site in the future. This was my first time setting up a conference for a government agency so I have learned a lot. By having the hotels bid for business or at least advise if they could accommodate was a HUGE time saver. I started by throwing darts at hotels in certain locations and cold calling them before I found your website! I really appreciate yours and the teams help." C.B. - Denver, CO
"Thank you for your prompt replies :) Your site is great and it really saved me a lot of aggrevation booking rooms for my wedding guests. I have recommended it to others that are looking to group rates." K.B. - Morris, NJ
