We were not expecting much for a relatively low-priced motel room, but I was pleasantly surprised that the room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of clean high-quality towels, comfortable temperature (we had control of that), and comfortable mattress. Most pillows were too high, but I managed to find one that was just right. It is also the closest motel to the UW-Stevens Point campus, though there are 2 very nice looking motels nearby that I might have used if I had known about them. I'm sure they were much more expensive than this one though. « less

We appreciate you taking the time to review our property. A lot of people are surprised by how comparable our rooms are to that of the hotels which are $30-$50 more than ours. When we remodeled, we wanted to be sure that our hotel was comparable to those surrounding us, and I feel that we did an excellent job in that regard. Especially with our pillow-top mattresses which are more comfortable than my Tempurpedic at home!

I've been staying at this particular hotel for 20 years and had seen it switch from one chain to another. Over the years it had really started to deteriorate, BUT, the recent purchase, and subsequent improvement by Days Inn has once again restored my favorite little hotel in Stevens Point. The rooms are very comfortable, each with a refrigerator and microwave. The new beds provided me with a great night's sleep and the improvements to the breakfast area and lobby provided great comfort at breakfast (Love the new waffle makers!). Some of the staff have been there for at least three iterations of this hotel, so are knowledgeable and helpful. This hotel is located near the college campus and just off the interstate. There are many restaurants within short walking distance - the Perkins just next door is an annual favorite. With all the upgrades I look forward to returning again next year. Thanks Days Inn for saving this hotel! « less

I've only been here 13 years, so you have me beat! I can attest to the changes over the years. It has been like night and day, to say the least! We appreciate your continued patronage, because without it the hotel likely would not have been worth saving in the first place. It is because of guests such as yourself that we exist in our current state, so rather than thank Days Inn it would be better if you patted yourself on the back instead.
As a long-time staff member, I have been lucky enough to see the ups and downs, and I can honestly say that this place has never been better than it is today, and we are still improving!
Thank you for sticking with us through the tough times, because there certainly were some. We appreciate your business, and we hope we can be your hotel of choice for the next 20 years as well!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to review our property! Your input helps us in deciding how we can improve our property for future guests. I have to agree with you that the exterior needs work, because it was not part of the initial scope of the remodel. Having completed the remodeling within the building, we realize now that our exterior does not reflect what is on the inside.
We offer rooms and amenities on par with the other, much more expensive, hotels in town, but from the exterior alone you may not realize it. It is a known issue, and will hopefully be remedied soon!
We appreciate your comments, and we are pleased that you had a positive experience while staying with us. I hope that we get the chance to serve you again on your next trip through Stevens Point.

Our daughter attends school at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. We're always looking for an affordable (cheap) option when we go to visit her. We found the Days Inn (next to KMart, a couple blocks from the campus) a really nice, convenient, affordable place to stay. Nothing fancy, but the breakfast (included in the price) had lots of options (love those waffle makers), lots of cable channels, free wireless, and more than anything else, the people at the desk were just super friendly and helpful. I left a pair of running pants in the room and they promptly mailed them to me a couple days later. It makes such a difference when the hotel staff always have a smile and stop whatever they're doing for you. Even when the hotel was crowded with basketball tournament teams and families. « less
