My husband, myself and two friends went to the R.S.Theatre, we went to see As You Like It, wonderful, to finish off our day we had booked a 5p.m.afternoon tea, unfortunately we had to wait for a free table( 45mins.) although we had booked. This wasn't a problem, the staff were really helpful, kept us informed of how long we would be waiting and gave us a tray of complimentary coffee and biscuits. The wait was well worth it, excellent afternoon tea, choices of finger sandwiches, cakes galore, and to finish chocolate fondue with mini donuts, marshmallows and sliced banana plus a good selection of different pots of tea. The staff were wonderful, helpful and very friendly. WELL DONE TO ALL AT THE GROSVENOR. Well worth a visit, we certainly will be returning. « less

4 of us stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel over the weekend of 28/29 April 2013. We had stayed there in March 2012. The hotel is very good being centrally located and the standard rooms are adequate (we upgraded last year to an Executive room which was far better). Disappointingly this year, the hotel restaurant dinner menu bore no resemblance to the menu that was advertised on the hotel website at the time leading up to and during our stay. In my view the choice of courses available was far inferior to that advertised and worse was the fact that the kitchen had actually run out of some main courses; this made the main course menu choices even more limited. I complained to the waiting staff at the time and subsequently emailed the hotel. Whilst apologetic and undertaking to get their marketing department to change the menu on the web site the response did not really address any of my concerns. I am uncertain if the dinner menu is specific to the Grosvenor or if is common across the whole Best Western range but it certainly took the shine off our stay as we felt the hotel had misrepresented the menu that was on offer. « less

We booked this place about an hour before arriving for only £55 room only. The car park is an extra £3 per day. The rate includes free use of the local gym which is a 2 minute walk away. The hotel is quite pleasant, not plush or grand but quite charming in an English sort of way. A couple of minutes to the centre on foot. Perfect location for enjoying everything Stratford has to offer. Executive room was clean and spacious. Nice size tv and decent shower. Will stay here again. « less
